Price Tag - Despondent
What if everything we had was never ours, And everything we took was never really our to take? Would it make us think again And would we treat it with respect? Cos the truth is really none of this was ever fuckin' ours. Not ours to buy, not ours to sell, And not ours to be fighting for - Can't put a price tag on the world. How can ownership be written on a piece, Of paper that means it can be protected and policed. And if it's wrong for us to take what we don't need; That makes every single one of us a thief. And if all of us insist on taking more and more; There'll be nothing left to buy, to sell, And nothing left worth fighting for - Can't put a price tag on the world.
