Raindrops - Grey Eye Glances

the wind is softy blowing
the posters on my far wall
I’d quickly go close my window
as if I had someplace to go
the echoes are faintly calling
the distinctive voice of fall
we’ll talk til dawn about dreams
maybe about what this night means
the orchestra of the night
must only play for us this time
how our faces will seem too clean
through the curtain a moonbeam stream
lighting our candles, let the warm stread inside
as a suble change within yourself
I turn and you are no longer here
just a piece of paper
reading "when the raindrops fall"

lost in confusion,
the stars would hear my subtle cry
words are met somewhere within this night
seeing things nowhere within sight
the things that would be the same
the child inside my starts to cry
and a circling question fills my mind
with answer I’ve never been taught
a whisper in to my pillow
"when do raindrops fall?"

why does everything seem to change?
the world around me slowly sighs
memories of aspiring words
none too common and none too absurd
as your shadow still sits in my chair
I think about how far we’ve come
and I open my window again
my fright is taken from my soul
as I can hear the raindrops fall
