Useless - Gothic Light

Like a pencil drained, I sit uselessly beside you.
I can see you deteriorating, dying slowly.
Leaving me alone, forever.
I thought I'd escaped?
I thought you'd led me to the safety I yearned.
But really you were leading me deeper,
Into my own darkness and depression.
How did I not see it coming?
You'd already blindfolded me.
Is that all I am?
Someone you drained then tossed aside?
A useless bit of scrap paper no longer used?
